Holiday Cheer

Merry Christmas!

I had a fun and relaxing weekend at my parents’. My sister, Melissa, is back from school after having spent the last four months in Halifax. For the second year in a row we did a Secret Santa gift exchange via between the four of us and Andrew, and we all got together on Christmas Day to open our gifts. There’s something nice about having only one person to buy for because you put more thought into what to get.

Also, I’m officially over the winter. It’s funny to look back a month ago when I was sweating in the Thai heat and envied all the Snapchats I saw of my friends in parkas. I remember thinking, “I would love to be cold right now!” because it was seriously that hot where I was. And now three weeks into December in Toronto, I would do anything to be sweating in a bikini!

My big New Year’s resolution is to “adultize” our apartment as we’re now both in our thirties. We’ve lived here for over four years and haven’t done much with it since we moved in so it’s time to change things up. Our first task is to declutter and take the apartment down to the basics so we can start creating a space that we love and can live in. I’ll be channeling my inner Dane to help with this!

How have your holidays been? Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?
